Free Original Pattern of the Day: the Rainbow Potholder
Here’s a simple potholder that is a great way to use up odds and ends of yarns. Like many of my patterns, it’s made in one piece with no seams and minimal finishing. (Does anybody besides me hate “finishing”?) Brighten up your kitchen or your craft show display with these quick and easy potholders!
worsted weight yarn in white, blue, purple, pink, orange, yellow, and green
Sample was made with Red Heart Super Saver (yeah, I know. The yarn pickin’s in our small town are pretty slim!)
size H crochet hook (4.25 mm)
Work over yarn ends as you go. If you join new yarn in a different place on each round, joining will be less noticeable.

Just so you know (if you haven’t already figured it out) I like colorful patterns. Designs that are either fun or fancy. I don’t believe that “ugly” is in any way “artistic”. I’m a dedicated freebie-finder, but I look for quality, not quantity. And, of course, simplicity, because I HATE tedious finishing!
